ALL ABOUT THE JEFFERSONS

BY MIKE RIFKIN

On Monday one of the biggest NFL offseason questions was answered. The Vikings and ALL -Pro Receiver Justin Jefferson agreed to a four year 140 million dollar contract with 110 million dollars in guaranteed money.  With this deal Jefferson becomes the highest paid receiver in the NFL, but also the highest paid non Quarterback in the NFL.

Jefferson, a three time Pro Bowler has amassed at least  1,000 yards in each of his four seasons.  Last season Jefferson was limited to 10 games because of a hamstring injury, but still had 1,074 yards and five touchdowns. Prior to last season Jefferson had play in every game the last three seasons.

Having Jefferson locked up will help the development of JJ McCarthy, who the Vikings drafted in the first round of this year’s draft. But with Jefferson locked up the pressure switches to Dallas who now has to lock up CeeDee Lamb. But the Vikings knew they couldn’t let the best receiver in the game walk away like Randy Moss years ago.
