It wasn’t pretty but the Bengals came out of MetLife Stadium with a 17-7 victory over the New York Giants. Joe Burrow, who came off a sensational game vs the Ravens, was 19-28 for 208 yards, and added four carries for 55 yards including a 47 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. The game was tight until late in the fourth quarter when Chase Brown had a 30 yard touchdown run to ice the game 17-7. Both Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase continued their solid play both went over 70 yards (although Chase had a big drop.)
The Bengals defense had two sacks on Daniel Jones and an interception in the win. But they still gave up 120 yards rushing and gave up nearly four yards a carry. Jones was 22-41 for 205 yards and an interception. The Giants had the football for over 34 minutes compared to the Bengals 26.
Next week both teams will play division rivals as the Bengals go to Cleveland and play the Browns and the Giants host the Eagles.
