NYJ AT CIN : The Bengals are coming off a thrilling 33-31 win over division rival the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Flacco turned back the clock by going 31-47 for 342 yards and three touchdowns. The stars were the stars as Chase Brown had 108 yards rushing, Ja’Marr Chase had 16 catches for 161 yards and Tee Higgins had five catches for 96 yards and both had touchdowns. The Bengals will take on the winless Jets. The Jets are the last remaining winless team in the NFL after losing 13-6 against he Panthers last week.
KEYS TO THE GAME
JETS : OFFENSE : No matter who the QB is the Jets offense has been a difficult watch this season. They haven’t announced who will be the starting QB, but whoever it is will be without the services of Garrett Wilson, so someone will have to step up in his absence. This is a Jets team that hasn’t scored a touchdown in eight quarters.
DEFENSE : The Jets defense has not been as bad as the offense, but it’s had its moments. The Jet defense will be without Sauce Gardner, so Brandon Stephens who has played this Bengal offense before will have to matchup on Chase, we’ll see if prior knowledge can help.
Bengals Offense : Chase Brown had 108 yards last week, they’ll need a similar performance this week. If Brown can be a threat, it can help Chase and Higgins down the field.
Defense : Pass defense. Like I said at the top the Jets will be without Garrett Wilson, so someone needs to step up. But if the Bengals defense, which had two interceptions last week can make the Jets one dimensional it could be a long day for New York.
Prediction : Bengals 27 Jets 3 – BILL MURPHY
MIA AT ATL : The Dolphins are coming off a 31-6 beatdown at the hands of the Browns. Tua threw another three interceptions and nothing is going right for the Dolphins. Now, they travel to Atlanta to play a Falcon team coming off a loss to the Niners. Michael Penix is questionable with a leg injury, but if he can’t go Kirk Cousins is capable of lighting this defense up or they can just hand the ball to Bijan Robinson. If this is another bloodbath could it be Mike McDaniel’s last game?
NYG at PHI : Two weeks ago the Giants were on top of the world after beating the Eagles, but after last week they need a win in the worst way. The Giants gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter last week against Denver and lost. Jaxson Dart has been impressive since taking over for Russel Wilson, and the Giants have life. For Philly they’re coming off their best offensive game against the Vikings. But this week they’ll be without AJ Brown, who is out with a hamstring injury. Maybe this is the week Saquon gets going?
DAL AT DEN : The Dallas Cowboys head to Mile High Stadium to take on the Denver Broncos. The Broncos made headlines by scoring 33 points in the fourth quarter to come back and beat the New York Giants last weekend. The Cowboys are coming off an impressive win against the Commanders last week with Defense playing the best it had all season, but let’s be fair Washington was down their top three receivers. Dak will have to be on top of his game with a Denver defense that is averaging 4.5 sacks a game. With having the Dallas offense at almost 100% look for a very Balanced game with a lot from Javonte Williams as he returns to face his former team. The Defense has to mimic what the Giants were able to do through the first three quarters. One interesting thing for Denver, is with the return of Ceedee Lamb who will Denver put Pat Surtain on? – Mark
The Lions are in their bye week this week. This couldn’t come at a better time due to the fact that the secondary and defensive line is banged up. The Lions return next week to face off against divisional foe the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. – Mark
